Michele M. Clark is the Executive Director of Yolo Land Trust, a California nonprofit organization whose mission is to conserve the farmland and ranchland in Yolo County. Yolo Land Trust currently holds over 65 agricultural conservation easements and owns a 633-acre farm along the Sacramento River which is leased to local growers for walnut and row crop production. Michele is a graduate of Class 37 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
At this roundtable you will meet 3 women who actively farm in Yolo County: Rebecca Yeung of Joe Yeung Farms, who runs her family’s farm operation; Judith Redmond of Full Belly Farm who started organic farming in the 1980s; and Sherri Wood, a San Franciscan who left the City in 2017 to pursue a passion in farming. Come hear their stories and insights about the role of women in Yolo County agriculture today and for the future.
