General Information
This year marks a new chapter for the Yolo County Historical Collection. We are collaborating with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) to present an exhibition of artwork by local ceramic artists side-by-side with items from the historical collection, which includes household objects from 1830 to 1930. Bridging past and present, we are bringing together the vision of what ceramic art is today that draw on historic items.
The Yolo County Historical Collection and YoloArts invite you to submit ceramic artwork for the first group show in the historic Gibson mansion as we open up this space for community members to exhibit for the first time. In conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts who will be holding their annual conference in Sacramento, Dates, this exhibition will feature a limited number of pieces of contemporary artwork created by local artists, alongside historic artworks from the Yolo County Historical Collection.
