The Lighter Side: Humor in Photography

YoloArts has teamed up with Viewpoint Photographic Art Center in Sacramento to bring together 19 photographers in a juried showcase at the Barn Gallery.

The Lighter Side: Humor in Photography, reflects a variety of techniques used to capture humor – in nature, society, and everyday life. The show has been co-juried by Kerik Kouklis, board president at Viewpoint, and Janice Purnell, creative director at YoloArts.

“It was a pleasure jurying this exhibit with YoloArts and to see so much good work from our members’ portfolios. A little humor and optimism is just what we need as we put 2020 behind us and look forward to 2021,” Kouklis recently stated.

Featuring Viewpoint photographers: Keith Berger, Cecilia Clark, Diana Coleman, Larry Coleman, Karen Connell, Anita Fein, Richard Halliburton, John Hennessy, David Kalb, Dave Kent, Gay Kent, Alan Kepler, Jan Lightfoot, Marlo McClurg, Michele McCormick, Steve Nieslony, Philip Renner, Jim Wilson, Judy Yemma.

The Lighter Side: Humor in Photography continues at The Barn Gallery through February 28. Face coverings and social distancing will be required at the gallery.
