YoloArts Set to Host 10th Annual Art Farm Gala at Hotel Woodland

YoloArts will be celebrating 10 years of farm visits Friday November 3 from 6-9 p.m. at Hotel Woodland, 436 Main Street in downtown Woodland during the 10th Annual Art Farm Gala, a fundraiser for the arts and land preservation.

Cultivating Creativity: 10 Years of Art & Ag will be for sale at the Art Farm Gala. This full color limited edition publication features all ninety Yolo County farms that have invited artists to create amidst the fields, orchards, and barns. Images of Art & Ag public art, and the 2017 Art Harvest artwork are also included.

The art harvest and silent auction feature original farm themed artwork of 82 local artists. The highlight of the event is being able to harvest a work of art. Longtime and new supporters of the event eagerly look forward to the event’s art harvest.

The evening’s festivities also include the announcement of the exhibition’s juried award winners. Guest juror, Frank P. Ordaz will be announcing the winners. Awards include Cream of the Crop, Blue Ribbon, Best in Category, Honorable Mentions, Farmers Pick, and People’s Choice.

Shovels for art harvesting are $250 and provide entrance for two (including food and wine tastings) and the opportunity to harvest an original work of art with a value of at least $250. Tickets are $40 and include food and wine. All attendees will take home a gift bag filled with farm products from Cobram Estate, Pacific Coast Producers, Pasture 42, Pure All Natural Honey, and Setton Ranch including olive oil, honey, pistachios and more. Proceeds raised by the Art Farm Gala support YoloArts’ Art & Ag program, The Yolo Land Trust, and Yolo Farm to Fork. The Art Harvest and silent auction art can be previewed before the event at at www.yoloarts.org and Gallery 625 through November 1. The gallery is located at 625 Court Street in Woodland. Gallery hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
