The Power of Arts: Support YoloArts with Year-End Giving

2020 Our Family History Mural

At YoloArts, we remain dedicated and determined to use the power of arts to strengthen and enrich our communities.

We believe the arts transform our daily lives by sparking dialogue, building empathy, and encouraging shared experiences.

Times of uncertainty and unrest are no exception.

Traditional ways of engaging in creative practices and appreciating the creativity of our community have been challenged this year. The year began with planning familiar events and new experiences- Art & Ag Project farm visits, special exhibitions at the Gibson House and The Barn Gallery, and Teaching Artist instruction in schools across the County serving over 1,500 students.

In March, as the state and county enacted a Stay at Home order we turned our attention to a virtual YoloArts. Our goal was and still is to stay connected with you! Gallery exhibitions and artist talks were shared online. Teaching Artists created take home art kits for students and recorded online lessons to be used by teachers and parents. Artists shared their home studios and ways to stay inspired and creating.

We continued to change our approach as Yolo County began to reopen. Art & Ag Project farm visits resumed and the Gibson House, The Barn Gallery and Gallery 625 were once again able to welcome visitors with all recommended safety precautions.

But- we are experiencing very uncertain times for the arts. We want to be here for you as we endure this pandemic, but also when we come out on the other side- and we need your help.

Arts organizations and the artists are essential workers in our community and our economy, helping to recover, reflect and rebuild. We are doing everything we can to find new ways to uplift you, your family and the larger Yolo County community through the arts.

We know there are many choices you can make with your giving dollars.

The arts have been affected by the pandemic, and YoloArts is no exception. Please consider helping us continue to rise to the challenge and keep the arts in Yolo County by making a donation TODAY!

Like you, we want the arts to be vibrant and growing when we come out on the other side of this crisis.

Thank you for being a partner in the arts and uplifting our community for years to come.

Warm regards,

Alison Flory
Executive Director
