YoloArts invites the public to an in-person closing reception for Emerging + Artists = Show, 5:30 – 8 p.m. May 27 at Gallery 625.
Emerging + Artists = Show includes the artwork of nine emerging regional artists from Woodland, Davis, and Sacramento: Taylore Amato, Nathan Blue, Sandy Calhoun, John Paul Cazares, Patrick Cosgrove, Heather Hogan, Jennifer Michel, Natalie Nelson, and Polly LaPorte. The artists featured in this exhibition are of all ages and some have had notable success in exhibiting and sales.
This multi-media show includes paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media. The work is accompanied by an artist statement and narratives describing the inspiration behind each piece.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity for people to gather in person and view this wonderful exhibit. The artists are definitely looking forward to meeting and sharing their work with the community,” said Janice Purnell, YoloArts creative director and the show’s curator.
Refreshments will be available outdoors in the gallery courtyard at the entrance to the gallery. Following recommendations and guidelines from California Department of Public Health, Gallery 625 can resume indoor operations at 50% capacity. To ensure a safe and healthy visit masks are required for all guests over the age of 2, including those who are fully or partially vaccinated.
Emerging + Artists =Show opened last month and runs through June 1.
Gallery 625 is located at 625 Court Street in Woodland, in Yolo County’s Erwin Meier Administration building. The gallery’s regular hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
