After a year of play-alongs and music theory sessions on Zoom, and experimenting with virtual recording apps we were finally able to meet in person to begin socially distanced safe outdoor rehearsals a few weeks ago. We owe many thanks to our sponsor YoloArts for making it possible for us to rehearse outside on the beautiful grounds of the historic Gibson House in Woodland. We have been working hard on some music to share with you to celebrate the birth of our nation on Independence Day. Please join us Wednesday June 23, 7:30 pm (Pacific time) when we will livestream our performance on YouTube. Here is the link https://youtu.be/vSMZ43M54po.
We are excited to share our music with friends far and near with this virtual format until we can see you again in person! Please join us at this free event! If you would like to make a donation of any amount to help support Yolo Community Band you can visit the YoloArts website https://yoloarts.org/give/ … please be sure to write “Yolo Community Band” in the comment section at the bottom of the form. All of our musicians are volunteers but your support will help us pay for expenses like music, insurance, and rehearsal/performance venue rentals. We appreciate your help!
