The two series “While Age Comes On” and “As If It Were a Serpent” explore the subject of the human form in art. “While Age Comes On” depicts the body in the late stages of life. “As If It Were a Serpent” focuses more broadly on people of all ages who are physically affected by manual labor. Both are linked by the motif of physical and emotional wellness and both show real-life moments of contact between the subject and the artist during the process of healing.
