Henry Parada was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela in 1951. Henry spent the first part of his life working as a scientific in Venezuela. The work was demanding, and her turned to painting and the visual arts to relieve the stress. As a hobbyist, he devoted his spare time developing his skills. Much of what he learned was self-taught. His work involves geometric shapes, symmetry, high contrast color, use of textures and optical illusion.
