Marti Walker

Marti Walker began her artistic career painting the mountains, valleys, and waterways of the Sacramento Valley and Sierra Mountains. As an avid outdoorswoman for most of her adult life, she spends a great deal of her time painting ‘en plein air’ – French for painting outdoors, on-site. A long-time watercolor and oil painter, her first use of pastels was an instant affinity. She now paints almost exclusively in pastels, loving their immediacy and brilliance.
